Brake Guides: selection notes
Brake guides are mechanical elements used to set yarn tension. On spring-loaded disc models, the pressure setting changes the resistance the yarn meets as it passes between the contact faces. The right model and the right setting are determined by the yarn type, the running speed and the target tension. The condition and the cleanliness of the ceramic faces should be assessed together with the working conditions. Whether a code covers the complete unit or a single component is stated with the product code.
