Slipper Guides: selection notes
In choosing a slipper guide, the profile of the V-groove, the angle at which the yarn enters the groove and the body dimensions are considered together. The bottom of the groove is under constant contact, so the hard surface of technical ceramic delays grooving there. The channel profile and the position of the yarn in the channel vary from model to model; the right part is determined together with the yarn type and the machine arrangement.
