Trap Guides: selection notes
In choosing a trap guide, the shape of the claw, the mouth opening, the channel size and the mounting dimensions are considered together. The claw makes it harder for the yarn to slip back out; which surfaces the yarn touches inside the guide varies with the shape of the claw and with the way the yarn is threaded. Technical ceramic keeps the thin section of the claw and the channel smooth. Chemical resistance depends on the type, concentration and temperature of the substance in contact.
