Hook Guides: selection notes
In choosing a hook guide, the bend radius of the hook, the mouth opening and the mounting direction are assessed together. The open form makes threading the yarn easier; which part of the hook the yarn touches varies with the application. The thin section of the hook is exposed to wear and to impact; the hardness of technical ceramic preserves the bend radius and the surface stays smooth. The body does not rust and holds its dimensions.
